UV 312 is first developed by BASF. It is Ethanediamide, N-(2-ethoxyphenyl)-N’-(2-ethylphenyl) grade.
It acts as a UV absorber belonging to oxanilide class. UV-312 could imparts outstanding light stability to plastics and other organic substrates. It has strong UV absorption. For many substrates, it shows excellent compatibility with very low volatility.
UV 312 could protect substrates from UV radiation and help polymers remain original appearance and physical integrity.
In terms of application process, it shows no impact on color & transparency of polymer substrate. It can be combined with optical brighteners and suitable for polyesters, PVC plastisol, polyurethanes, polyamides, polymethylmethacrylate, polybutyleneterephtalate, polycarbonates and cellulose esters.
We usually recommended for rigid and flexible PVC and polyesters. Reommended dosage of UV 312 is between 0.10 and 1.0 %, depending on polymers and final application.
